Community participation

I love to be involved in my community. I am on the board of the Fruit Valley Foundation, which supports the Fruit Valley neighborhood of Vancouver with educational and economical opportunities. I enjoy serving meals at and giving monetary support to Share Vancouver, which helps economically disadvantaged Vancouver residents get back on their feet. The Humane Society for SW Washington holds a special place in my heart because I adopted my darling dog from them, and I often volunteer at their facility. Another cause that is near and dear: Women's heart health. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in women, and I want to see that change.

Interests

I love Portland for its proximity to a wealth of recreational opportunities - hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, camping, biking, and wake-boarding rank high on my list of things to do. I also force myself to run because I'm training (very slowly) for a half marathon. My personal background is rooted in music and theater so I sing, dance, and perform whenever possible, as well as go to various shows and concerts. When I'm not in the office, outside, or on stage, I spend as much time as I can with my amazing friends and family, especially my adorable niece. In my spare, spare time, I enjoy traveling the world.
