My Approach

I enjoy solving puzzles. When it comes to my clients, these “puzzles” include investments, tax planning strategies and occasionally family dynamics.

I start by listening to understand you and your core values to determine the best way to align your finances to the things most important in your life. Like the border of a jigsaw puzzle, your values provide the framework that allows the rest of the pieces to fall into place.

Once your goals and needs are clearly defined, my team and I help you solve the puzzle at your own pace and in ways that best suit your lifestyle – either in person, in virtual meetings, or through our Ameriprise app.

You can find additional information on how I work with new clients and help them stay on track on the How to Get Started tab, or by watching my Living a Wealthy Life video.

When you’re free from financial worry – and there are no puzzles left to solve – then you can truly go where you want to go. Contact me today for advice worth talking about.

Some quotes from Will Rogers worth talking about

From CBS WRDW News12: Will Rogers Tells All About 'Furry Finances'

“If you’re in a position where you can drop $3,000 if your pet is hurt, then you don’t need (pet) insurance – you can self-insure.”

From The Augusta Chronicle: Use Social Security to Maximize Retirement

“If you have the higher Social Security, it gives you the option to spend all of your (pension or retirement) money without fear…”

From USA Today: Is a Roth IRA Worth It?

“At its core, a Roth IRA strategy harnesses the power of compound interest. When money put in today remains invested and grows over time, you give the chance for your interest to earn interest.”

Interests

• I came to Augusta in 1992 and live in the CSRA, but Lacey and I spend summers with family at our Wisconsin cottage.

• I enjoy kayaking, windsurfing, and "flying a hull" on Hobie Cat sailboats.

• I love being a Dad. Our daughter Blaire is married to Jimmy, raising our granddaughters, Jemma and Ada. Ashley is in the UGA Microbiology Ph.D. program. Our son Collin works in Atlanta and our son William is at school in MN.

• My daughter Katie took her life in 2016. I try to help families prevent suicide, seek professional help for depression and, at times, help folks find their own path to recover from the loss of a child. Big hugs are a start.
